The City of Wilmington Announces the Artists for the 2013 DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival

The DuPont® Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary and will take place from Wednesday, June 19th through Saturday, June 22nd.
The Festival is recognized for bringing world class artists to perform in downtown Wilmington, and has received notoriety as one of the largest free music festivals in the region. The City looks to continue this rich tradition in honor of the 25th anniversary.
“The DuPont® Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is a staple of Wilmington performing arts culture,” said Mayor Dennis P. Williams. “The City is excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary and hope the community gets involved and enjoys all of the Festival activities.”
This year, the Jazz Festival will feature two receptions following the concert performances on Friday and Saturday evening. Friday, Cityfest will host the Silver Trumpet Reception and on Saturday, Clifford’s Closeout. Both receptions will offer live music, refreshments and an energetic atmosphere. These events will provide attendees the opportunity fellowship and enjoy exciting entertainment. Both receptions will be free and open to the public.

- Lalah Hathaway
