City Pools and Spray Parks

The City of Wilmington Department of Parks and Recreation operates four public swimming pools. Refer to the schedule below for locations and days the pools are open.

The City pool season runs from July 1 - August 13. Pool hours are 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (public swim hours).

City pools are staffed by Red Cross-certified lifeguards, and feature changing facilities and showers. There is no cost to use the pools during public swim hours. While the pools are open to everyone, patrons under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The City of Wilmington also operates water spray parks from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at:

• Father Tucker Field at 9th and Lincoln Streets
• Woodlawn Park at 4th and Ferris Streets
• Helen Chambers Park at 6th and Madison Streets
• Michael’s Playground at Wright and Stroud Streets
• Judy Johnson Park at 3rd and Clayton Streets
• Eastlake Playground at 30th and Madison Streets
