This afternoon, the Williams' Administration will present its plans to move forward with the development of a Skate Park to several City Council committees.

The Skate Park is slated to create a gateway from the Browntown and Hedgeville neighborhoods to Wilmington’s Riverfront. This sustainable City project will incorporate inviting public green spaces with activities, such as skateboarding, rollerblading and biking.

“This skate park presents the opportunity to put underutilized land to work on behalf of our children living in the City of Wilmington. Skate boarding, BMX biking, and roller-skating provide recreational outlets for our energetic youth that are so desperately needed in our neighborhoods,” said Mayor Dennis P. Williams.
