Police Investigate Knife Point Robbery

Police are investigating the knife point robbery of a real estate office on South Union Street.

The investigation began at approximately 1:45 p.m. when officers responded to a 911 call from A.C. Emsley & Associates Realtors reporting a robbery. Officers learned that a suspect entered the store, displayed a knife, and ordered an employee to turn over cash. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’6”, 135 lbs., with black curly hair pulled into a short pony tail, goatee, and long eyelashes. He was last seen wearing a red shirt with white sleeves, possibly a sports jersey. The suspect then took the employee’s phone receiver and fled the office in an unknown direction.
