Restaurant Shut Down Following Police Investigation

Members of the Community Policing Unit and Department of Licenses and Inspections shut down the Golden Star Restaurant, which is located at the corner of 4th and North Madison Streets.
Corporal Devon Jones and Patrolman William Ball concluded an ongoing investigation after arresting the restaurant owner, Bik Y. Lau, for selling drug paraphernalia out of her establishment. Monday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m., Officers Jones and Ball executed a search warrant at the Golden Star Restaurant and seized over 600 pieces of drug paraphernalia. The Department of Licenses and Inspections responded to the scene and issued multiple citations, which subsequently led to the closure of the establishment.
Bik L. Lau is awaiting arraignment.
