Summary:

Earlier this year, members of Wilmington’s Organized Crime and Vice unit have conducted two separate investigations at multiple residences in the 1000 block of West 2nd Street. During these investigations, vice detectives executed search warrants and were able to seize drugs and affect arrest on both occasions. Recently, vice detectives initiated a third investigation targeting the same residences and seized over 1,800 bags of heroin.

Monday evening, vice detectives concluded an ongoing investigation after a search warrant was executed at three residences in the 1000 block of West 2nd Street. During the raid, vice detectives located and seized 1,894 bags of heroin (37.88 grams). The heroin is valued at $25,000.80.

Due to the extensive amount of resources exhausted through these investigations, Wilmington Police are working with other city agencies in an attempt to deem these residences nuisance properties.

Radamis Velez was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Facility in lieu of a $50,000.00 cash bail.

Julio A. Rosa, who is a convicted drug offender, was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Facility in lieu of a $50,000.00 cash bail.

The juvenile was committed to New Castle Juvenile Detention Center.

Emanuel Garcia was released after posting a $25,000 unsecured bond.
