Saturday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m., Senior Corporal William Draper and Corporal Sarah Bozeman responded to the 1100 block of West 4th Street regarding a robbery complaint. Prior to arriving, the officers were provided a detailed description of the suspects from the 911 dispatchers. Upon arrival, officers learned that the 15 year old victim was walking in the area of 8th and North Monroe Streets when he was grabbed from behind and forced to the ground. The subjects removed his cellular phone and fled in an unknown direction.

Through special features on the phone, officers were able to track its location to the Wilmington Flea Market shopping center in the 1900 block of Maryland Avenue. After unsuccessfully locating the suspects in the parking lot, the officers utilized another feature which made the cellular phone ring. At this time the described suspects, Javar Miller and Calvin Winn, exited the front door of the Flea Market. The officers activated the feature again and observed Winn look at the phone as it rang. Both Winn and Miller were taken into custody without incident.

Calvin L. Winn, who is a convicted felon and convicted drug offender, was released after posting a $3,500.00 unsecured bond. Javar Miller, who is a convicted drug offender, was released after posting a $3,500.00 unsecured bond.
