Police Investigate Carjacking

  • 19 year old male of Wilmington, Delaware


  • Black male, 20 - 22 years old, thin build; suspect was armed with a handgun
  • Black male, 19 years old, very large build


Police are investigating a carjacking that occurred in the 1200 block of Linden Street.

On August 20th at approximately 2:55 p.m., uniformed officers responded to the 1200 block of Linden Street in reference to a 911 call for a carjacking that just occurred. The investigation suggests that the nineteen year old victim was sitting inside of his red colored Ford Explorer in the 1200 block of Linden Street when he was approached by the suspects. The victim exited his vehicle after the suspect displayed a handgun. Both suspects entered the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle was last seen headed north bound on Franklin Street then onto Lancaster Avenue. The vehicle is described as a red 2003 Ford Explorer, 4 doors, with gold trim (Pennsylvania registration JDF1063).

The first suspect is described as an armed black male, 20 - 22 years old, with a thin build. The second suspect is described as a black male, 19 years old, with a very large build.
