Vice Detectives Seize Heroin Following Pedestrian Stop

Police arrested Richard T. Beach for possessing an illegal controlled substance following a pedestrian stop.
Monday evening at approximately 7:41 p.m., members of Wilmington’s Drug, Organized Crime, Vice unit concluded an investigation following a pedestrian stop. Vice detectives observed their targeted subject, Richard T. Beach, in the area of Tulip and South Union Streets and attempted a pedestrian stop. Beach attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody without further incident. While checking Beach for contraband, Vice detectives located 130 bags of heroin (2.62 grams). The heroin is valued at $1,716.00.
Richard T. Beach was released after posting a $10,000.00 secured bond.
