Police Investigate Indecent Exposure

Victims:

  • 28 year old female of Wilmington, Delaware
  • 38 year old female of Wilmington, Delaware (August 10, 2013)

Suspects/ Descriptions:

  • Black male, 30 - 45 years old, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt carrying a black backpack
  • Black male, dark skin complexion, short curly hair, unshaven, average build, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and camouflage shorts (August 10, 2013)

Summary:

Police are investigating indecent exposures that occurred in the 1400 block of Saint Elizabeth Street.

Wednesday evening at approximately 9:27 p.m., uniformed officers responded to the 1400 block of Saint Elizabeth Street in reference to a 911 call for a suspicious person. The investigation suggests that Tuesday evening at approximately 9:30 p.m., a resident in the 1400 block of Saint Elizabeth Street observed a Black male masturbating as he looked through a neighbor’s window. The suspect fled in an unknown direction after the resident started banging on the window. The suspect was described as a Black male, 30 - 45 years old and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt carrying a black backpack.

On August 10th at approximately 11:30 p.m., uniformed officers responded to the 1400 block of Saint Elizabeth Street in reference to a 911 call for a complaint of indecent exposure. Upon arrival, uniformed officers learned that a dark skin complexion black male, with short curly hair, and an average build, exposed his genitals to a resident after she responded to a knock on her door. This suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt and camouflage shorts.

As the investigation continues detectives have not yet determined if the suspects in both incidents are the same. Wilmington Department of Police encourages residents to keep their outside lights on (front, side, rear) and report any suspicious vehicles, activities, or people in the area.
