Police Investigate a Shooting

On Saturday, November 30, 2013 at approximately 2:40 a.m., a Wilmington Police patrol officer was flagged down by an adult male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim stated that he had been in the area of the 800 block of South Justison Street after an event at a local venue, when he heard a single gunshot. The victim then noticed that he had been struck and drove himself from the area in an attempt to locate a hospital. The victim was able to flag down the uniformed police officer who escorted him to the hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening wound.
