Police Investigate Shots Fired Incident

Victim:

  • 28 year old male of Wilmington, Delaware

Suspects:

  • Two Black males wearing all black clothing

Summary:

Police are investigating a shots fired incident after two unknown suspects fired at a 28 year old victim as he exited a corner store.

An initial investigation suggests that on December 15th at approximately 2:21 p.m., a 28 year victim exited a corner store at West 2nd and North DuPont Streets. A black male wearing all black clothing began shooting at the victim who fled east on West 2nd Street. The shooter and a second black male dressed in all black then fled in an unknown direction.

The victim flagged down officers on patrol in the area of West 2nd Street and Delamore Place and reported the incident to them. The victim, a convicted felon recently released from a correctional facility, sustained a minor abrasion but an investigation determined that it was not caused by gunfire.
