TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Tractor-Trailer Stuck Under Railroad Bridge

UPDATE 11:00 p.m.: Crews have removed the tractor-trailer that was stuck under a railroad bridge spanning Lovering Avenue near the intersection of Augustine Road. Roads are now open to all traffic.

Date of Occurrence:

  • Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at approximately 10:07 a.m.

Summary:

Portions of Lovering Avenue and Augustine Road are closed to traffic due to a tractor-trailer that is stuck under a railroad bridge.

Lovering Avenue between North Scott Street and North DuPont Street is closed. Traffic westbound on Lovering Avenue will divert south on North DuPont Street. Traffic south on Augustine Road will divert west on Wawaset Street to North Scott Street. Traffic east on Lovering Avenue will divert to North Scott Street with access to Augustine Road via Wawaset Street.

Traffic will remain diverted for several hours as crews work to free the tractor-trailer.
