Wilmington Police Arrest Frederick Gray; Charged with Attempted Murder

Monday evening Wilmington detectives working in conjunction with the US Marshals took Frederick Gray into custody in the area of West 6th and North Jefferson Streets. Investigators developed information that Fredrick Gray was possibly in the area and officers conducting surveillance located Gray walking in the area of West 6th and North Jefferson Streets. Gray was taken into custody without incident.
Frederick Gray is on probation for a 2007 assault first conviction and a possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony conviction.
Gray was charged with attempted murder 1st, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and resisting arrest. He was arraigned this morning and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $300,000 cash bail for the listed charges and an additional $100,000 cash bail for an outstanding violation of probation warrant.
