Woman Arrested for Robbery While She Waits for the Bus

  • Shoanetta Gale, 30, 2900 North Claymont Street, Wilmington, Delaware
    • Robbery 1st Degree
    • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony

Summary:

Police arrested Shoanetta Gale for robbery while she waited for the bus.

Officers Paul Ciber and Justin Cannon were traveling southbound on the 2800 block of Northeast Boulevard when they were flagged down by the victim. The victim, who was bleeding from the head, informed the officers that he was robbed.

The investigation revealed that the victim was eating a sandwich at the bus stop waiting for the bus when Gale approached asking for some of his sandwich. Gale pointed a .22 caliber handgun at the victim demanding proceeds. When the victim could not provide any proceeds, Gale struck him in the head with the handgun and remained at the bus stop. Officers were able to take Gale into custody without incident and locate the .22 caliber handgun.

Gale, who is a convicted felon and convicted drug offender, was committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in lieu of a $60,000.00 secured bond.
