Officers Investigate Robbery of the S. Walnut Street Shell Gas Station

  • 300 South Walnut Street, Wilmington, Delaware (Shell gas station)

Date of Occurrence:

  • Saturday, February 2, 2013, approximately 1:42 p.m.

Victim:

  • Male Shell gas station clerk, 35

Suspects:

  • Suspect 1: Black male, 35 to 40, 6'3” - 6' 6" , 130-160 lbs., full beard, black knit hat, blue jeans, new white Nike Air Jordans. Armed with a knife.
  • Suspect 2: Black male, 30 to 40, 6'0” - 6' 3" , 150-180 lbs., thin mustache, red and brown plaid shirt, dark pants, tattoo on the right side of his neck.

Summary:

Wilmington police officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Shell Gas Station on South Walnut Street in Wilmington this afternoon.

This incident occurred as two black males, one described as between 35 and 40, 6'3” - 6' 6" , 130-160 lbs., full beard, wearing a black knit hat, blue jeans, and new white Nike Air Jordans, and the other described as between 30 and 40, 6'0” - 6' 3" , 150-180 lbs., thin mustache, red and brown plaid shirt, dark pants, and a tattoo on the right side of his neck, entered the Shell Gas Station.

Suspect 1 held a knife to the clerk and compelled him to turn over and undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then exited the store and fled in a tan Chevrolet Silverado, of unknown Delaware registration, with a silver diamond plate tool box in the bed.
