West Side Drug Dealer Arrested After Disregarding "No Loitering Sign"

Deshawn Scott, 35, 600 block Homestead Road, Wilmington, Delaware
- Possession with Intent to Deliver (Heroin)
- Resisting Arrest
- Loitering for Drug Related Activity
A West Side drug dealer was arrested yesterday evening after officers observed him loitering in front of a residence with a posted “No Loitering” sign.
Officers Jose Cintron and Gaetan MacNamara were on proactive uniformed patrol when they observed Deshawn Scott seated on the steps of a residence with a clearly posted “No Loitering” sign.
The officers attempted to make contact with Scott who began to act suspiciously and attempted to quickly walk away. When the officers stopped Scott he began to struggle and resist arrest. He was taken into custody and officers located 115 bags of heroin on his person.
Scott was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of a $30,000 cash bail, $1000 secured bond and $50.00 unsecured bond.
