Summary:

Lead investigators Corporal Jeffery Silvers and Lindsay Haegman, who are members of the Drug Organized Crime and Vice Unit, arrested Kevin and Shauntai Harris for possession of multiple guns and 5,925 bags of heroin.

On Friday, February 15, at approximately 11:45 p.m., members of the DOCV unit stopped both Kevin and Shauntai Harris on the 500 block of North Franklin Street.

Further investigation revealed that Kevin and Shauntai Harris were in possession of $5,925 bags of heroin, an Ak-47 assault rifle, Colt .357 magnum, Herstal .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun, Glock .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, Ruger .357 magnum handgun, and $11,741.00 cash.

Kevin Harris, a convicted felon, was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of a $5,000,000.00 cash bond.

Shauntai Harris was committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in lieu of a $431,100.00 secured bond.
