The Wilmington Department of Police is announcing the arrest of Wilmington Police Officer Wilbur Justice, 45, of Wilmington, Delaware, in connection with a forgery and bigamy investigation.

Wilmington Police investigators launched an investigation on February 6, 2013 when Delaware Alcohol Tobacco Enforcement notified the department that a background investigation of Justice revealed that he is married to two women at the same time.

An investigation revealed that Justice has been married to his current wife since August 2008. On August 31, 2012 Justice submitted false information on a marriage application indicating that he was not married and then married a second wife on September 1, 2012.

Wilbur Justice was taken into custody without incident at his residence on the evening of Wednesday February 27, 2013. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 20 and released on his own recognizance.
