Summary:

Police officers working in conjunction with Probation and Parole arrested Deric Forney, a probation absconder, after he was found in possession of a handgun and drugs.

Thursday evening at approximately 10:10 p.m., members of Operation Safe Streets received information regarding a probation absconder, Deric Forney. Safe Street Detectives located and arrested Forney on the 400 block of South Jackson Street without incident. Forney was found in possession of a .22 caliber handgun, 96 bags of Heroin, .5 grams of marijuana, 8 Alprazolam pills, and $1,621.00 cash.

Safe Street Detectives and Probation responded to Forney’s residence where they conducted an administrative search. Upon entry, detectives arrested Forney’s twin brother Eric Forney, along with Lisa Anderson, Amanda Green, and Spurgen Knox. Knox was found hiding inside of a bedroom. Detectives located and seized ammunition, a JC Higgins 12 gauge shotgun, Riverside Arm 16 gauge, SKS 7.62 caliber rifle, 36.2 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a total of $2,171.00.

Deric L. Forney, a probationer, person prohibited, and convicted felon, is awaiting arraignment.

Spurgen Knox, a convicted drug offender, is awaiting arraignment.

Lisa Anderson is awaiting arraignment.

Amanda Green is awaiting arraignment.
