Police Investigate a Shooting

Suspect:

  • Unknown Black male, late 20’s to early 30’s, 6’0” to 6’3”, thin build, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Summary:

On Friday, May 3rd at approximately 12:20 a.m., the Wilmington Police were summoned to the intersection of 16th and Thatcher Streets in reference to a shooting.

The officers located a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to his lower right leg. The initial investigation showed the victim was confronted by the described suspect and instructed to surrender his personal property. When the victim explained he had nothing the described suspect shot him and fled the area.
