Burglary Trend Noted in Wilmington's Bayard Square

Summary:

The Wilmington Department of Police has noted a possible burglary trend in the city’s Bayard Square area.

Since April 27, 2013, there have been four reported burglaries in the area south of Linden Street and from South Broom Street west to South Union Street. Most of these incidents occurred during daytime hours and entry was forced through the rear of the residence.

Residents in the area are urged to remain vigilant and contact police if they note suspicious subjects or activities, such as persons traversing rear yards or carrying household electronics.
