This afternoon at 2:53 p.m., the Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office in coordination with the Department of License & Inspection, conducted code enforcement on a property at 1711 Conrad Street on Wilmington’s west side.

The City of Wilmington had received complaints about loud music and large numbers of people in and around a garage in the 1700 block of Conrad Street at late & early morning hours. After conducting an inspection of the property, the Fire Marshal’s Office and L&I found the garage facility was being use as a make-shift club house for the Westside Chapter of the Thunderguard Motorcycle Club. Numerous life-safety code violations were found as the building was never authorized to be used as an assembly occupancy.

The Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office, along with the Department of License and Inspection issued a stop-work order to the occupants. The stop-work order directs the occupants to not occupy the building space until the building is inspected and cleared by the FMO and L&I for the proper occupancy use.
