FOOD - FREE CONCERT - FAMILY FUN - FIREWORKS

Mayor Dennis P. Williams and the City of Wilmington invite you to celebrate our nation's independence at the 2014 July 4th Celebration on the Riverfront in Tubman-Garrett Park.

Beginning at 2:00 p.m., the day will be full of fun for the entire family with rides, games, and a 50 foot obstacle course, PLUS...fireworks at dusk!

There will also be historical reenactments, arts, face painting, magicians, crafts, well as a crab feast, and various food and drink vendors.

Enjoy the blues & soul sounds of Deb Callahan, the progressive pop sounds of Minshara, the R&B jams of Mozaic Flow, and the Latin sounds of Miguel Orland y Su Con Conjunto, the high energy performance of Washington, D.C.’s Familiar Faces, and  & Kiss 101.7 FM's DJ Shorty T.

Due to the July 4th festivities there will be road closures. All traffic going to the Riverfront will be closed at 8:30 p.m. At that time traffic will only be able to exit as all lanes will be directed out of the Riverfront area. In addition, the Market Street Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic at 5:00 p.m.
