City of Wilmington Issues Traffic Advisory Report for Shipley and Orange Streets

Where: Shipley Street (between 10th ST and 8th ST)
When: 04/08/2013 – 04/10/2013 (8:00AM – 4:00PM)
Who: Danella Line Services
Why: Final Restoration of Roadway from previous installation of Fiber Optics to businesses on 8th/9th and Shipley

Shipley Street will be closed to traffic from 10th Street to 9th Street. Pedestrian traffic will be minimally affected; however, at least one side of the street (sidewalk) will always be open. The contractor has spoken with the businesses and will allow delivery trucks to enter. Patrons will have access to the parking garage on 9th and Shipley Streets from the Orange Street entrance. The intersection on 9th and Shipley Streets will have at least one lane of accessibility and cause no disruption to DART bus services. “No Parking” signs have been posted on site.

When: 04/10/2013 – 04/17/2013 (9:00AM – 4:00PM)
Who: Tri-State Underground Inc.
Why: Installation of Fiber Optics to business on Orange Street

Orange Street will have one vehicular traffic lane closed between 10th and 9th Street. Pedestrian traffic will be minimally affected; however, at least one side of the street (sidewalk) will always be open. The contractor will speak with the businesses and post “No Parking” signs on 04/08/2013. Patrons will have access to both parking garages on the block. Neither intersection will be disturbed. There will be no disruption to DART bus services.
