This Friday, Mayor Dennis P. Williams will begin the new “Lunch Bunch” initiative, where weekly, he will join members of the Communications and Cultural Affairs Division to dine at various restaurants throughout the City of Wilmington.
Wilmington’s rich and diverse culture is represented in the City’s restaurant and dining scene. From elegant, four-star restaurants to friendly, neighborhood cafes; Mayor Williams’ “Lunch Bunch” wants to celebrate and showcase all the different eateries Wilmington has to offer.
“Wilmington’s restaurant community brings life to our neighborhoods, and also highlights all of the different ethnic and cultural influences within the City,” said Mayor Williams. “The Lunch Bunch initiative intends to positively support the restaurant community.”
The Mayor’s “Lunch Bunch” will visit one restaurant every Friday, beginning Friday, May 3rd and ending on Friday, August 30th. Mayor Williams’ “Lunch Bunch” will post their visit to each restaurant on the City of Wilmington and Mayor Williams’ social media platforms. Participating restaurants will be chosen from email submissions.
Think Mayor Williams and his staff should visit your restaurant?
Please submit an email to amcoppadge@WilmingtonDE.gov including the name of the restaurant, location, and a brief statement expressing why the Mayor should come enjoy your restaurant’s dining experience.
